Brazil's DetranRS and Federal Police launch online vehicle and goods auctions
The Rio Grande do Sul state traffic agency (DetranRS) will hold an electronic auction on 27 May with 396 lots of used cars, motorcycles and vehicle scrap collected from four municipalities. Initial bids start as low as R$600 for a 2012‑2013 Chevrolet Cobalt and R$200 for a 2013 Honda CB 300R. Around 120 preserved vehicles are available for individuals and businesses, while 44 lots of 276 scrap items are reserved for accredited dismantling centers. Participants must register on the auction platform at least 24 hours before the start and can inspect the vehicles in person during the four days preceding the event.
The Federal Police of Brazil will conduct an online auction on 10 June via Daniel Garcia Leilões, offering conserved vehicles, recyclable scrap and various movable goods stored at its facilities in São Paulo and several interior cities. Public viewing of the items is scheduled for 8‑9 June. Bidders must pre‑register at least 48 hours in advance; only accredited companies may bid on scrap lots. The auction aims to liquidate assets seized or held by the police.
