Brazil's Education Ministry launches free early‑childhood training platform

The Ministry of Education (MEC) has made a free online platform, the Plataforma de Cursos Primeira Infância, available to educators, health workers, social assistance staff, caregivers and interested citizens. The portal offers 34 active courses covering education, health, social assistance, human rights and child development for children from birth to six years.

The initiative is part of the Política Nacional Integrada da Primeira Infância (PNIPI), which marked its first anniversary on 5 August 2026. MEC also extended the deadline to 15 August for states, municipalities and the Federal District to join the Comunidade Nacional de Gestores de Políticas de Primeira Infância, a voluntary network that supports the design, implementation and monitoring of early‑childhood policies. Participation requires signing a term of adhesion and appointing representatives according to municipal population size.
