Brazil's Ministry of Education releases 4th Pé-de-Meia payment to students born Nov‑Dec 2026

On Monday, 6 July 2026, the Ministry of Education (MEC) deposited the fourth R$ 200 installment of the Pé‑de‑Meia (Mid‑Year) incentive to eligible students born in November and December 2026. Payments are made by Caixa Econômica Federal and can be accessed through the Gov.br portal.

Eligibility requires at least 80 % attendance in April, enrolment in public schools, active registration in the Cadastro Único (CadÚnico), family income up to half a minimum wage, and ages 14‑24 (or 19‑24 for youth‑adult education). The program, covering 7.2 million students since 2024, aims to boost school attendance, lower dropout rates and increase high‑school completion; total benefits may reach up to R$ 9.2 thousand per student when all incentives (frequency, matriculation 2026, conclusion 2025, ENEM bonus) are summed.

The payment schedule for the entire cohort is staggered by birth month, with November‑December recipients receiving their fourth installment on the cited date. The MEC notes the initiative’s contribution to improved attendance and higher approval rates.
