Overview

In September 2026, Caixa Econômica Federal began distributing monthly installments for the Pé-de-Meia program. Payments are released on a staggered schedule based on students' birth months. The Ministry of Education also supports students through Canal Educação for Enem preparation and the Mulheres Mil program.

For the October 2026 cycle, payments are scheduled between October 19 and October 26, corresponding to attendance data from August. The specific distribution schedule is as follows: January and February on October 19; March and April on October 20; May and June on October 21; July and August on October 22; September and October on October 23; and November and December on October 26. Receipt of funds depends on the validation of enrollment and attendance data by educational networks. Students can monitor status via the Ministry of Education portal or the CAIXA Tem and CAIXA Social Benefits applications.

Concurrently, the Brazilian federal government has proposed a structural change in the 2027 budget to integrate full-time schooling funding into Fundeb to redirect resources toward the Pé-de-Meia program.
