Brazil launches registration for Enem 2026 exam

The Ministry of Education and the National Institute for Educational Studies (Inep) opened registrations for the 2026 National High School Exam (Enem) on Monday, 25 May. Applications are accepted online through the Enem Participant Page until 5 June, with the registration fee set at R$ 85 payable by 10 June.

The two‑day written tests are scheduled for 8 and 15 November 2026. A key change for this edition is automatic pre‑registration of all public‑school seniors (third‑year students); they must still log in to confirm participation, choose a foreign‑language option (English or Spanish) and request any accessibility accommodations.

The exam will be offered at approximately 10 000 locations nationwide, an increase intended to allow about 80 % of public‑school candidates to take the test in their own school and to reduce travel needs. The Ministry is also studying transport support for students who must travel to another municipality. These measures aim to boost participation, with a target of at least 70 % of public‑school graduates taking the Enem in 2026.
