Brazil extends Enem 2026 registration deadline to June 12

The Ministry of Education (MEC) and the National Institute for Educational Studies (Inep) have extended the registration period for the 2026 National High School Exam (Enem) from the original deadline of 5 June to 12 June. Candidates must still register exclusively through the online Participant Page. The deadline for paying the R$ 85 enrollment fee has also been moved to 17 June. 2026 introduces automatic pre‑registration for public‑school students in their third year, though they must confirm personal data, choose a test centre and indicate any language or accessibility needs. The exam’s special‑assistance rules have been broadened to include conditions such as fibromyalgia, anxiety, ADHD and obsessive‑compulsive disorder, allowing support from a companion or an emotional‑support animal during the test. The two‑day test will be held on 8 and 15 November nationwide, with an expected increase to about 10 000 test locations to reduce travel for candidates. These changes aim to expand access and improve accommodation for millions of Brazilian students seeking university admission.
