Brazil's Energy Transition Forum Executive Committee meets to set governance and 2026 work plan
Members of the Executive Committee of Brazil's National Energy Transition Forum (Fonte) gathered on 23 July 2026 to address the Forum’s governance structure and outline upcoming actions. The agenda included proposals to amend the Forum’s internal regulations, a review of the draft 2026 Work Plan, and the presentation of a detailed activity timeline. Technical support for the work plan was provided by FGV Clima, which helped design the methodology for thematic chamber discussions.
The revised work plan and regulation proposals will be submitted to the Forum’s plenary session scheduled for August. The committee also reviewed the public consultation findings for the National Energy Transition Plan (Plante), a 30‑year inter‑ministerial strategy that aims to reshape Brazil’s energy production and consumption.
The meeting was organized by the Ministry of Mines and Energy and reflects ongoing efforts to strengthen technical support for Brazil’s energy transition initiatives.
