Brazil's Central Bank reports R$6.2 billion in unclaimed funds available for withdrawal

The Central Bank of Brazil says about R$6.24 billion remains in the Sistema de Valores a Receber (SVR) as of May 2026, the amount people can still claim. The figure fell from R$10.3 billion in April, a 39.5% decline, after unredeemed balances were transferred to reinforce the Fundo Garantidor de Operações (FGO).

Of the remaining funds, roughly R$4.44 billion belongs to 24.08 million individuals, while R$1.80 billion is linked to 2.27 million companies. Most credits are under R$10, but a smaller share exceeds R$1,000. The money is spread across consortia administrators, traditional banks, credit cooperatives, payment institutions, finance companies and brokerages. The bank continues to offer free public queries so holders can check and request their refunds.
