Brazil's ITA opens final registration for 200 engineering seats

The Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica (ITA) announced that applications for its 2027 engineering entrance exam close this Sunday, 12 July. A total of 200 undergraduate engineering positions are available, a record for the institute, with 140 open‑competition slots and quota‑reserved places: 50 for self‑declared Black or brown candidates, six for Indigenous applicants, and four for quilombola candidates.

Applicants must pay a R$ 195 fee (via PIX or credit card) and meet the eligibility criteria of a completed secondary education and a maximum age of 23 years at enrollment. The selection comprises three phases: a 48‑question objective test on 27 September, written/dissertation exams from 20‑23 October, and a medical inspection scheduled for 10 January 2027 in São José dos Campos. ITA now offers eight engineering programmes, including Aeronautical, Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical‑Aeronautical, Civil‑Aeronautical, Computer, Systems and Energy, and plans to add a new campus in Fortaleza, Ceará.
