Brazil's June ethanol sales exceed 3.1 billion liters

Ethanol sales in Brazil reached 3.12 billion liters in June, with 1.27 billion liters of anhydrous ethanol and 1.85 billion liters of hydrated ethanol sold across the Centro‑Sul units. In the domestic market, anhydrous ethanol volume rose 24.38% year‑on‑year to 1.24 billion liters, while hydrated ethanol grew 4.16% to 1.78 billion liters.

Since the start of the 2026/27 harvest season, total ethanol commercialization in the Centro‑Sul region has accumulated 8.80 billion liters, a 2.64% increase. Overall ethanol production for June was 3.80 billion liters, of which 20.98% (796.13 million liters) came from corn, marking an 8.40% rise over the same period of the previous season.

Cane milling in the Centro‑Sul fell 14.5% to 69.79 million tonnes, and sugar output dropped 26.33% to 3.90 million tonnes compared with the 2025/26 season. The region operated 255 production units at month‑end, including 235 sugarcane processors, eleven corn‑based ethanol plants, and nine flex‑fuel mills.
