Brazil's Light raises R$1.35 bn capital; Vivo to pay R$500 m dividend

Brazilian utility Light approved a capital increase of R$1.35 billion, issuing new shares funded by its sole shareholder, Light S.A., to support the company’s court‑approved judicial recovery plan. The plan, which reorganises about R$11 billion of debt, has already been accepted by more than 99 % of creditors.

Telefônica Brasil (Vivo) announced a distribution of R$500 million in interest‑on‑equity (JSCP) to shareholders, amounting to R$412.5 million after tax. Each share will receive roughly R$0.12, with the payout scheduled through April 2027 for holders recorded by 27 July.
