Brazil's Minha Casa, Minha Vida housing program opens registrations in Ivaiporã and releases Rio Branco waitlist

The municipality of Ivaiporã began accepting applications on Monday, August 3, for the first 40 of 90 homes in the Chico Rey housing complex, the initial phase of a 250‑unit project under the federal Minha Casa, Minha Vida program. Eligible families must be registered in the national CadÚnico, have a monthly income of up to R$ 3,200, reside in Ivaiporã for at least three years, own no property and have never received prior housing assistance. The first 40 units will be financed by the National Social Housing Fund, with the remaining 50 pending approval from the Residential Leasing Fund. Vice‑prefect Gertrudes Bernardy highlighted the initiative as part of the city’s goal to deliver more than 700 homes by 2028.

In Rio Branco, the State Secretariat of Housing and Urbanism (Sehurb) published the complete list of alternates for the Cidade do Povo and Calafate residential projects after the primary list caused a temporary system overload. The alternates will be contacted via WhatsApp, and a home‑visit verification will be scheduled within 30 days of notification. The two projects comprise 692 units—500 houses in Cidade do Povo and 192 apartments in Calafate—with an expected full delivery by 2027.
