Brazil's Pé-de-Meia student aid program confirms R$400 payment and August schedule

The federal Pé-de-Meia program will pay a one‑time R$400 assistance to eligible Brazilian high‑school and university students who meet five conditions, including regular enrollment, satisfactory grades, participation in extracurricular activities, and compliance with program rules. The payment is intended to help with school supplies, transport and food costs.

For August 2026, the next installment will be released between 24 and 31 August. Disbursements are staggered by the beneficiaries' birth month: Jan‑Feb on the 24th, Mar‑Apr on the 25th, May‑Jun on the 26th, Jul‑Aug on the 27th, Sep‑Oct on the 28th, and Nov‑Dec on the 31st. Recipients must have at least 80% attendance for May‑June 2026. The Ministry of Education validates the data and authorises payments through Caixa Econômica Federal. A July round was omitted as scheduled, not indicating a program suspension.
