Brazil's plastic surgery shift favors natural, individualized results

Brazilian plastic surgeons are moving away from standardized aesthetic ideals toward treatments tailored to each patient's anatomy, lifestyle and goals. Dr. Wellington Roberto, a specialist in body‑contouring procedures, says patients increasingly request results that look natural rather than replicating a social‑media influencer's appearance.

The International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS) reported in 2025 that Brazil leads the world in the number of aesthetic surgeries performed. Within this high‑volume market, the once‑popular "Lipo HD" (high‑definition liposuction) is now complemented by a growing demand for lighter, softer definition techniques that produce more subtle outcomes. Surgeons are also adopting new tools such as ultrasound‑assisted devices and argon plasma equipment to enhance precision and safety in body‑contouring operations.
