Brazilian cattle prices inch up in June amid stable market

In June 2026 Brazil’s cattle (boi gordo) market showed modest price gains. In São Paulo the arroba traded at R$ 352.30, up 0.60% from the previous day. In Mato Grosso the average price reached R$ 335.69, a 0.55% increase, with the highest regional quotes around R$ 338 per arroba.

Slaughter‑scale schedules remained lengthy – roughly seven days in São Paulo and over ten days in several Mato Grosso districts – limiting the urgency of purchases and keeping price jumps restrained. Overall supply met demand without excess, and exporters kept a steady interest, especially from China.

Other protein markets moved in opposite directions: chicken prices fell by around 3 % while pork prices rose modestly. The market balance reflects selective demand and a cautious outlook among producers and processors.
