Brazil's Receita Federal opens third IR 2026 refund batch consultation

On Friday 24 July 2026 the Receita Federal opened online consultation for the third batch of individual income‑tax refunds for 2026. The batch will pay 2,743,200 taxpayers a total of R$ 4.61 billion on 31 July.

The payments are divided into four groups: 396,474 taxpayers with no priority, 839,464 who used the pre‑filled return or chose Pix, 309,441 with other non‑legal priority criteria, and 197,821 with legal priority (people aged 80 or older, 60‑79, persons with disabilities or serious illness, and teachers). After this batch only refunds held in the tax‑audit “malha fina” or those with incorrect bank‑account or Pix data will remain pending. Taxpayers can check their status via the Receita Federal website or the “Meu Imposto de Renda” app by selecting “Consultar a Restituição”.
