Brazil's Receita Federal launches online DITR 2026 platform

Starting on 10 August 2026, Brazil's Federal Revenue Service will offer a web‑based version of the Declaração do Imposto sobre a Propriedade Territorial Rural (DITR) for the 2026 tax year. The service, accessed through the Receita Federal portal with a gov.br account of Silver or Gold level, lets taxpayers fill, submit, amend and consult their rural property tax declarations online via computer, smartphone or tablet, eliminating the need for installed software.

The new platform is mandatory for legal entities that own rural land and for individuals whose rural property exceeds 100 hectares. Owners of parcels up to 100 hectares may either use the online system or continue with the existing desktop generation program. Benefits highlighted include automatic updates, integrated access to receipts and related documents, pre‑filled personal data, and the ability for authorized third parties such as accountants to act on a taxpayer’s behalf.
