Brazilian municipal health bodies approve budgets and elect councils
Municipal health officials across Brazil convened in late February to plan regional health initiatives. The following day, the Consórcio Intermunicipial de Saúde da Rede de Urgência Centro‑Sul (CISRU) held its ordinary general assembly in Barbacena, approving the 2027 budget and unveiling major projects, including a university hospital in São João del‑Rei, a new Hospital Bom Jesus in Congonhas, a new Urgent Care Unit in Barbacena, and an aeromedical service slated to begin operations in August.
In Teresópolis, the municipal health council (CMST) elected its members for the 2027‑2030 term under Resolution 21/2026.
