Brazil's SIAVS animal protein fair to showcase $160 bn export industry

The International Animal Protein Fair (SIAVS) will take place from 4 to 6 August at the Distrito Anhembi in São Paulo. The 2026 edition is the largest ever, with an expected attendance of more than 31 000 visitors and participation from companies in over 60 countries, occupying 45 000 m² – about 65 % more space than the previous edition.

The fair highlights Brazil's animal‑protein sector, whose 2025 exports of beef, chicken and pork generated roughly R$ 160 billion. The beef chain produced 12.35 million tonnes of carcass equivalent, valued at R$ 1.159 trillion, and Brazil remained the world’s largest producer, shipping 3.5 million tonnes to 177 markets for nearly R$ 92 billion in revenue. The poultry sector produced 15.289 million tonnes of meat, exporting 5.324 million tonnes and earning about R$ 50 billion. The event was renamed from the International Aviculture and Swine Fair to the International Animal Protein Fair, now officially including bovine, dairy and aquaculture segments alongside birds, eggs and pork, addressing common challenges such as bio‑security, traceability, logistics, animal welfare and environmental requirements.
