Brazil animal protein export promotion

The International Animal Protein Fair (SIAVS) in São Paulo, held 4–6 August 2026, was billed as the largest edition yet, with more than 31 000 visitors and participants from over 60 countries. Organisers used the fair to highlight Brazil’s $160 billion animal‑protein export sector, noting record outputs in beef, poultry and pork and emphasizing issues such as bio‑security, traceability and animal welfare.

Within days, Brazilian firms leveraged the exposure. Unifrango showcased its integrated supply‑chain platform at SIAVS, stressing its capacity to process over 2.4 million birds daily and its role as a major maritime freight buyer. Simultaneously, at the World Food Expo (WOFEX) in the Philippines, the Brazilian Association of Animal Protein and ApexBrasil promoted pork, chicken, eggs and duck, reporting a 32 % rise in Philippine pork imports and a 16 % increase in chicken imports in the first half of 2026. These activities illustrate how Brazil is actively using high‑profile fairs to expand market access for its animal‑protein products.
