Brazil’s Telebrasil and Conecta RJ events spotlight digital convergence and networking
The 52nd Telebrasil Panel was held June 4‑8 in Costa do Sauípe, Bahia, under the theme “Multimedia Content and Digital Services for a Digital Brazil.” Francisco Araujo de Carvalho, chief consultant for Convergence, Intelligence and Applications at BT’s Group Chief Technology Office, outlined the criteria for convergent communications—user‑centric services, agnostic access networks, viable business models, social inclusion, startup financing and government support.
Conecta RJ, organized by the National Association of the Digital Market and Industry‑RJ with Sebrae‑RJ backing, took place on June 23 at Sebrae’s Rio de Janeiro headquarters. Titled “Content that generates business,” the program featured speakers such as journalist Ana Rosado on strategic communication, a panel on networking led by Érica Ribeiro, and sessions on digital transformation for SMEs, emphasizing how content, technology and networking drive competitiveness in Brazil’s digital ecosystem.
