Brazil's premium credit cards: Visa Infinite Privilege benefits and Itaú The One loses unlimited status

Visa International’s Visa Infinite Privilege card, aimed at ultra‑high‑income customers in Brazil, offers a suite of exclusive services including unlimited airport lounge access through Visa Airport Companion, priority security and boarding lanes, a personal Lifestyle Manager concierge, comprehensive travel insurance (up to US $1 million), helicopter transfers at Guarulhos airport and premium hotel privileges. The card carries an annual fee of around R$ 30,000 and is issued by invitation only.

A recent analysis of high‑income cards in Brazil highlighted the Caixa Ícone Visa Infinite as the most cost‑efficient product, delivering five to six points per dollar spent with an annual fee of R$ 1,650. Other cards such as Banescard Absoluto, Sicoob Zenith and Bradesco Aeternum were also evaluated for point‑generation efficiency.

Itaú’s The One card, previously marketed with an “unlimited” credit limit perception, will from July 30 display the total and available credit limit in the mobile app. While the card’s underlying credit criteria remain dynamic, the visible limit removes a key element of its exclusivity, prompting mixed reactions among affluent customers. The change is expected to improve transparency and reduce transaction issues for high‑value spenders.
