Bárbara Carine promotes literacy through Bienal nas Escolas in Rio de Janeiro

The Bienal nas Escolas project recently held an event in the Méier neighborhood of Rio de Janeiro, featuring writer and educator Bárbara Carine. The initiative aims to promote reading and citizenship among students through direct engagement with authors.

As part of its 2026 edition, the project has benefited approximately one thousand students from municipal and state school networks this year. In addition to author visits, the program strengthens school libraries by donating 100 books to each participating institution.
