Brescia expands cultural landscape with new theatre initiatives

Brescia is strengthening its position as a cultural hub through new initiatives from Idra Teatro and the Generazione Festival.

Idra Teatro has announced its 2026-2027 season under the theme ‘Un centro senza centro’ (A center without a center). The association is evolving from a theatrical residency space into a structured cultural hub with international ambitions, connecting artists, students, and professionals. The programming includes the Wonderland Academy, offering training in theater, dance, cinema, and voice, alongside the Wonderland Pop series in Franciacorta.

Simultaneously, the third edition of the Generazione Festival is being launched in collaboration with Circuito CLAPS. The festival is set to relocate to Brescia for 2026. The program features six shows, six talks, and various workshops and social events. The festival’s themes focus on contemporary transformations, identity, and the challenges facing new generations, aiming to promote culture as a tool for social change and professional recognition in the performing arts.
