Brescia police log 1,300+ incidents and record €26.4 million in speed‑fine revenue

The Brescia municipal police recorded 1,328 incidents in the first half of 2026 around the city’s main railway station, carried out 225 joint patrols and identified 119 persons, 32 of whom were taken to the local command. The force highlighted its “high‑impact” joint services, operating every three to four days with canine units, commercial and road‑safety teams, and noted 7 drug‑possession arrests, 32 other criminal complaints, 32 litter‑related fines and 58 clean‑up actions.

In 2025 the Brescia municipality generated €1,515,983 from speed‑limit violations, while the provincial administration collected more than €26.4 million, making the area second in Lombardy only to Milan. Other nearby towns such as Castegnato and Gussago also ranked in the regional top ten for speed‑fine revenues.

Both sets of data illustrate Brescia’s intensive policing focus on public safety, traffic enforcement and urban upkeep.
