BRI Group expands insurance solutions for Indonesia's healthcare ecosystem

BRI Group subsidiaries are expanding their involvement in the Indonesian healthcare ecosystem through new insurance initiatives.

BRI Life is supporting the implementation of Coordination Among Insurance Providers (KAPJ) to integrate the National Health Insurance Program (JKN) with Supplementary Health Insurance (AKT). This collaboration involves BPJS Kesehatan and various hospitals to improve financing effectiveness and service quality. The initiative was formalized through cooperation agreements signed in Bogor and Jakarta, witnessed by the Indonesian Ministry of Health and the Financial Services Authority (OJK).

Separately, BRI Insurance has introduced medical malpractice insurance to protect healthcare professionals. During an industrial symposium in Tangerang, the company highlighted its goal to provide comprehensive risk management solutions for the hospital ecosystem, covering doctors, medical staff, and supporting elements to ensure workforce resilience.
