BRICS Industry Ministers Conclude Jaipur Meeting with Joint Declaration

The Tenth BRICS Industry Ministers’ Meeting was held in Jaipur, India on August 6‑7, 2026 under India’s 2026 BRICS chairmanship. Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal opened the session and highlighted the theme “Building for Resilience, Innovation, Cooperation and Sustainability”.

The ministers adopted a joint declaration aimed at fostering resilient, innovation‑driven and sustainable industrial growth across the bloc. Key outcomes included a framework for cooperation among small‑ and medium‑sized enterprises, a terms‑of‑reference and action plan for a BRICS Working Group on the photovoltaic industry, an action plan for startups, and a proposal to create a BRICS Incubator Network and a BRICS Start‑up platform. Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Jitin Prasada reaffirmed India’s commitment to deepen industrial collaboration within the BRICS Partnership on New Industrial Revolution (PartNIR).
