Brighton pursues Millwall winger Femi Azeez before transfer deadline
Brighton & Hove Albion is intensifying its pursuit of Nigerian winger Femi Azeez ahead of the summer transfer deadline. Despite two rejected bids, including a recent offer of just over £10m, Brighton remains interested in the 25-year-old. Millwall has maintained a higher valuation for the player, who was a key figure in their third-place Championship finish.
Azeez’s recent form has earned him significant recognition, including being named to the PFA Championship Team of the Year following a season in which he recorded 11 goals and eight assists. His performances also led to his maiden call-up to the Nigeria national team, where he recently scored twice against Zimbabwe.
While Brighton is a primary suitor, other clubs including West Ham United, Aston Villa, and Hull City have also been linked to the winger. Azeez is reportedly keen on a move to the Premier League, and Millwall may support a transfer to help the player reach that level.
