Brighton sign Femi Azeez from Millwall on four-year deal

Brighton & Hove Albion has completed the signing of Nigerian winger Femi Azeez from Millwall on a four-year contract. The transfer was finalized following a late deadline-day agreement that utilized a deal sheet to extend the processing time from 23:00 to 01:00.

Brighton sporting director Mike Cave praised Azeez, noting his significant impact during the 2025-26 Championship campaign. During his time at Millwall, the 25-year-old made 77 appearances, recording 15 goals and 13 assists. His performances earned him selections for both the PFA Championship Team of the Season and the EFL Championship Team of the Season.

Azeez’s career path includes stints in Watford’s youth system and non-league football with Northwood, Wealdstone, and Hanwell Town, before moving to Reading in 2019 and Millwall in 2024. On the international stage, he has represented Nigeria, notably scoring twice on his debut against Zimbabwe.
