Brightstar Resources doubles gold resource at Two Mile Hill
Brightstar Resources has nearly doubled the mineral resource estimate at its Two Mile Hill-Shillington deposit in Western Australia. The updated estimate brings the total to 1.45 million ounces of gold, a 98 per cent increase from the previous 731,000-ounce resource.
The updated resource totals 24.6 million tonnes at 1.8 grams per tonne gold. This growth was driven by infill and extensional drilling targeting a deeper and wider tonalite host unit, adding approximately 700,000 ounces at a discovery cost of $6 per ounce. The Two Mile Hill underground resource currently stands at 1.3 million ounces.
Managing director Alex Rovira described the update as a “landmark moment” for the Sandstone project. Ongoing drilling continues at the Shirvington Zone, where recent diamond holes have intersected visible gold, with further resource updates expected as assay results are processed.
