Brightstar Resources expands gold potential at Sandstone project

Brightstar Resources has reported significant drilling results at its Sandstone gold project in Western Australia, revealing expanded underground potential at the Two Mile Hill site. The company’s latest deep drilling program, which includes a diamond hole exceeding 1,000 meters, intersected more than 500 meters of mineralised tonalite.

These results have led to the identification of a new deep extension named the ‘Shirvington Zone’. Updated geological modelling suggests the host intrusion is significantly wider than previously interpreted, now estimated at more than 300 meters horizontally at approximately 700 meters below the surface, compared to the previous estimate of 180 meters.

Managing director Alex Rovira noted that the intersection of thicker mineralised tonalite and visible gold presents material upside to the current Mineral Resource envelope. The drilling follows previous intercepts, including hole TMHRCD26020, which returned 305.4 meters at 1.82 grams per tonne gold.
