Brindisi Carabinieri Commander Leonardo Acquaro concludes four-year term

Colonel Leonardo Acquaro is concluding his four-year tenure as the provincial commander of the Carabinieri in Brindisi. During his leadership, which began on September 6, 2022, the command managed several high-profile criminal investigations, including the Legrottaglie and Stasi murders, the Serranova spouse killings, and the ‘The Wolf’ operation in San Vito dei Normanni.

Acquaro also oversaw security for the G7 summit and addressed various robberies, including an assault on a cash van on the Brindisi-Lecce route and a robbery in Carovigno. He will move to Florence to assume command of the Reggimento Allievi Marescialli.
