Brindisi port and Remuri rowing team highlighted on Rai 1's Linea Blu

On Saturday 8 August 2026, the Rai 1 programme “Linea BluPorti d’Italia” aired a special episode dedicated to Brindisi and its maritime heritage. Hosted by Livio Beshir, with Donatella Bianchi joining for field reports, the show explored the city’s port activities – commercial cargo handling, the transition of its fuel terminal to renewable energy, and passenger links to the Adriatic region – as well as sustainable fishing projects, local shipyards, and underwater coral prairies.

The episode also featured the Remuri rowing association, celebrated for winning the Adriatic and Ionian Trophy earlier that week. Viewers saw the traditional wooden boats, the craftsmanship of master boat‑builder Francesco Romanelli, and the role of the Remuri in preserving Brindisi’s nautical culture. The broadcast was produced in cooperation with the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport and the Port System Authority.
