Brisanet launches 5G service in 115 cities across Brazil's Center-West
Brazilian telecom operator Brisanet began its 5G rollout in the Center‑West region in July, targeting 115 municipalities. The first phase will activate service in 62 cities in Goiás and 53 in Mato Grosso do Sul, focusing on towns with populations under 30,000. The expansion fulfills obligations from the 2021 5G auction and is part of Brisanet’s plan to eventually cover the entire region, including the Federal District. The company says the network will boost sectors such as agribusiness, health and public safety while creating roughly 100 direct jobs in sales, support and field operations. Brisanet, founded in Ceará, already serves the entire Northeast with fixed‑line fiber and mobile services and employs more than 9,000 staff nationwide.
