Bristol Cars announces revival with production of V10 Fighter models

British luxury automaker Bristol Cars has announced a revival of its production following a 15-year hiatus. Under a new management structure, the company is completing a long-stalled program for the Bristol Fighter, a luxury grand tourer featuring gull-wing doors and an 8.0L V10 engine.

Working with an undisclosed British automotive partner, the company will use five original, unused chassis that remained from the period before the company ceased operations in 2011. One vehicle, finished in black with a tan interior, has already been completed and unveiled at Salon Privé. Four additional bespoke units are available for order, with customers able to choose between left-hand and right-hand drive configurations.

The Fighter is capable of reaching speeds up to 338 km/h (210 mph) and produces between 525 and 600 horsepower depending on the specification. The project is led by current owner and director Paul King, with Richard Hackett returning as chairman. The company stated that completing these five vehicles serves as a bridge between the brand’s heritage and its future plans.
