Bristol Cars brand revival via Fighter project

Overview

Bristol Cars is attempting a brand relaunch by reviving the Bristol Fighter, a supercar project that was halted when the company became insolvent in 2011. To mark the company’s 80th anniversary, the manufacturer is utilizing five original, unused chassis found in storage to complete the vehicles.

By using these existing chassis, the cars can be registered under Individual Vehicle Approval using 2008-era specifications, which allows them to bypass modern noise, emission, and safety regulations. The vehicles feature an 8.0-liter V10 engine, with performance ranging from 525 CV to 600 CV and top speeds of approximately 338 km/h. The completed demonstration model, finished in black with a tan interior, was unveiled at Salon Privé at Blenheim Palace.

Under a new management structure led by owner and director Paul King, with Richard Hackett returning as chairman, the company is working with an undisclosed British automotive partner. This project is intended to serve as “a bridge between the brand’s heritage and its future plans.” Following the debut, four remaining chassis are available for bespoke client commissions, with options for customization including left-hand or right-hand drive configurations.
