British Kashmiri diaspora protests in Bradford over Pakistan‑administered Kashmir rights

On August 5, members of the British Kashmiri diaspora gathered in Bradford, United Kingdom, to demonstrate solidarity with residents of Pakistan‑administered Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK). The rally, organized in support of the Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC), featured banners and speeches that highlighted alleged human‑rights violations, including house raids, excessive use of force, civilian casualties, internet blackouts and low voter participation in recent elections.

Protesters called on the UK government, international human‑rights bodies and the wider global community to monitor the situation, demand transparent investigations and ensure accountability for alleged abuses. They urged the protection of fundamental rights, civil liberties and the rule of law for the people of PoJK, and appealed for a peaceful resolution to the conflict.
