British Kashmiris protest in London over Pakistan‑occupied Jammu and Kashmir crackdown

On June 14‑15, 2026, thousands of British Kashmiris gathered outside the Palace of Westminster and Parliament Square in London to demonstrate against the actions of Pakistani security forces in Pakistan‑occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK). Protesters condemned reported civilian deaths, injuries and the harassment of women during recent clashes in PoJK, especially the alleged shooting at Rawalakot Eidgah that left two civilians dead and many injured. They called for an independent international inquiry, a United Nations investigation and accountability for the alleged excessive force used by Pakistani Rangers and other security agencies.

The march featured slogans such as “Pakistan forces out” and demanded basic rights for PoJK residents, including affordable electricity, relief from soaring inflation and improved governance. Demonstrators emphasized that the protest in London was peaceful and urged the global community to intervene to protect human rights in the disputed region. Similar demonstrations had earlier taken place outside the Pakistani consulate in Bradford.
