British rapper Yung Filly testifies in Perth rape trial
Andres Felipe Valencia Barrientos, known as the British YouTuber and musician Yung Filly, appeared before the Western Australian District Court in Perth to deny six charges of sexual penetration without consent, three counts of assault occasioning bodily harm and a charge of strangulation. The alleged incident took place in September 2024 after he met a 20‑year‑old woman at the Bar1 nightclub and took her to the Intercontinental Hotel in Perth's CBD.
During his testimony he said the sex was consensual, describing it as “great” with “grunting and moaning in a good way”. He denied any choking or slapping but admitted biting the woman several times, calling the action a “love bite”. He said he never asked the woman whether she wanted to have sex and that the “vibes were good”. Prosecutors showed photographs of bruising and bite marks on the woman's face and neck and said her phone had been taken by his security guard.
The trial continues as the court weighs the defence and prosecution evidence.
