British tourist assaulted at Jomtien Beach in Thailand

A 70-year-old British tourist, identified as Anton, was hospitalized following an assault at Jomtien Beach in Pattaya, Thailand, on September 3.

According to police and witness reports, a Thai man approached the British national while he was sitting with a friend near Jomtien Soi 10. An altercation ensued, with CCTV footage reportedly showing the Thai man kicking the victim in the face and knocking him down. Bystanders intervened to stop the fight and alerted authorities.

The suspect, who appeared intoxicated, claimed he confronted the Briton because he believed the man was connected to a missing motorcycle. Police detained the man after he attempted to flee the scene. Investigators are currently reviewing surveillance footage and witness statements to verify the claims regarding the motorcycle and determine further legal action.
