Miss North Carolina USA Brittany Boltinhouse stripped of title

Brittany Boltinhouse, the Miss North Carolina USA 2026 winner, has been stripped of her title following the resurfacing of old social media posts. Pageant organizers, A Blaize Productions, and the Miss USA Organization announced the decision after a review of information revealing a pattern of discriminatory conduct.

Reports indicate that between 2017 and 2019, Boltinhouse used an alias to post content containing racial slurs, including the N-word. Miss USA President and CEO Thom Brodeur stated the organization does not tolerate "racism, homophobia, transphobia, nor language that strips any person of their dignity." He emphasized that the decision was based on "conduct over an extended period of time" rather than a single incident.

In response, Boltinhouse suggested in an interview that her conservative Christian beliefs and political stance may have influenced the decision. Her family has also spoken out, expressing a desire to present her side of the story. Myla Hadley, the first runner-up, has been named the new Miss North Carolina USA 2026 and will represent the state at the upcoming Miss USA pageant.
