Brittany Boltinhouse to take legal action after Miss NC USA dethronement

Former Miss North Carolina USA Brittany Boltinhouse is expected to pursue legal action against pageant organizers following her removal from the title. Her attorney, Patrick Mincey, stated that the dethroning was ‘wrongful and unjustified’ and claimed Boltinhouse was targeted due to her Christian faith and conservative political views.

Miss USA previously announced the decision to strip Boltinhouse of her title, citing conduct that violated policies regarding racism, homophobia, and transphobia. She was replaced by runner-up Myla Hadley. While the specific nature of the alleged conduct was not detailed by Miss USA CEO Thom Brodeur, Boltinhouse has suggested in interviews that her title was taken because of her religious and political beliefs.

It remains unclear whether the legal proceedings will be directed at Miss USA or the state organizer, A Blaize Productions.
