Brâncuși celebrations in Romania include sculpture exhibition and film festival

Emerging Romanian sculptor Bogdan Nueleanu opened his "Moving Elements" exhibition at the National Museum "Constantin Brâncuși" in Târgu Jiu on 25 July 2026. Curated by Vasile Fuiorea, the show features welded‑metal sculptures that explore material, space and technology, highlighting Nueleanu’s ongoing innovation in monumental sculpture.

The commune of Peștișani, Brâncuși’s birthplace, will host the "Acasă la Brâncuși" film festival from 4 to 8 August. The five‑day event, funded by the Ministry of Culture, forms the second stage of the "Peștișani – Acasă la Brâncuși, 150 years of art and genius" project. It will present open‑air film screenings, talks with actors and directors, workshops for children and other cultural activities celebrating the 150th anniversary of the sculptor’s birth.
