Broad Peak avalanche: Last body recovered in Pakistan

The final body from a fatal expedition on Broad Peak in Pakistan's Karakorum mountains has been recovered. The Alpine Club Pakistan (ACP) reported that the remains of an American woman were transported to the mountain's base camp following a three-week recovery mission.

The expedition, led by British-Nepali mountaineer Nirmal Purja, was struck by an avalanche on July 30, resulting in the deaths of ten international climbers. The recovery process was delayed by several weeks due to difficult terrain and deep snow covering the victims.

According to the ACP, the deceased include six climbers from Nepal, one from Pakistan, one from China, one from Oman, and the American woman.
