Bronzi di Riace International Prize ceremony honors Carabinieri and artists in Rome

The 25th edition of the Premio Internazionale "Bronzi di Riace" took place on 20 June 2026 at the Sala della Protomoteca in the Palazzo del Campidoglio, Rome. Organized by the Pro Loco Città di Reggio Calabria and patronized by the regional governments of Calabria and Lazio, the event celebrated individuals and institutions that exemplify competence, cultural dedication and public service.

Among the honorees, the Italian Carabinieri were recognized for defending constitutional values and protecting cultural heritage, with Generals Pasquale Angelosanto and Giorgio Maria Borrelli receiving the military‑strategy award. In the arts section, ceramist Vincenzo Ferraro of Seminara was distinguished as “Maestro d’arte delle ceramiche” for preserving and innovating the traditional Calabrian pottery craft. The ceremony also commemorated former President Sandro Pertini and highlighted the historic bronze statues that give the prize its name. Regional officials, cultural representatives and media personalities attended, underscoring the event’s role in promoting Italian cultural excellence abroad.
