BRS intensifies protests following Telangana legislator suspensions

The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) is intensifying its political response following the suspension of its legislators from the Telangana Assembly. BRS working president K. T. Rama Rao (KTR) held a meeting with party MLAs and senior leaders in Hyderabad to coordinate a strategy and plan upcoming protests.

As part of these actions, the BRS plans to hold a mock Assembly at Telangana Bhavan to highlight issues they claim were ignored by the current administration.

Additionally, a BRS delegation led by KTR met with Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla to request a review of the suspension of MLCs T. Madhu and N. Naveen. The party submitted a 13-page letter alleging an erosion of constitutional governance and requested the Governor seek reports regarding restricted access to the Legislature on September 7 and 8. The BRS is also calling for the preservation of CCTV footage and the registration of FIRs against police officers and marshals allegedly involved in the assault of legislators.
