BRS leader Manne Krishank arrested in Telangana

Telangana Police arrested Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader and social media convenor Manne Krishank on Tuesday. The arrest follows a case registered after a banner was displayed outside a hospital in Secunderabad containing allegations against Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and his family.

The banner, which appeared on Sunday, reportedly made claims regarding the sale of Medicover Hospital for approximately Rs 13,200 crore. Krishank had alleged that the transaction was used to convert black money into white and raised questions regarding land allocation to Tesseract, a company owned by the Chief Minister’s brother.

A complaint was lodged by Sai Kumar, a functionary of the ruling Congress party. The First Information Report (FIR) against Krishank and others was filed under sections 353 (2) and 352 of the Bharat Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Krishank has maintained that his arrest is a response to his attempts to question the ruling party's integrity.
