Bürstner unveils Habiton 6.1 Mercedes-based camper

German camper manufacturer Bürstner has unveiled the Habiton 6.1, a new model built on the Mercedes Sprinter chassis. Priced from 78,999 euros, the vehicle is designed for versatility and autonomous travel, with an official debut scheduled for the 2026 Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf.

Moving away from the unconventional layout of the previous Habiton 6.0, which featured single beds and a patented sliding bathroom, the 6.1 adopts a more traditional configuration. It features a transverse rear bed and a redesigned living area with a lounge and fixed seating to improve functionality for both short and long trips.

The technical specifications include a gas-free kitchen with a two-zone induction cooktop, hybrid diesel heating, and a standard setup of two lithium batteries totaling 300 Ah with a 2,000-watt inverter. Water capacity includes a 110-liter clean water tank and a 90-liter grey water tank. Customization options such as the ‘Autarkie Advanced’ package are available to increase battery capacity and charging performance, alongside solar modules and winter packages.
