Brunswick Complex wildfires remain out of control in British Columbia
The Brunswick Complex, comprising the 66,557-hectare Ainslie Creek wildfire and the 9,110-hectare Brunswick Creek wildfire, remains out of control according to the BC Wildfire Service. Warmer and drier conditions, combined with expected wind increases, are driving heightened fire activity.
Suppression efforts include direct attacks near Spius Creek and Maka Creek, utilizing aerial bucketing and high-capacity pumping systems. Crews also conducted a planned ignition near Prospect Creek Forest Service Road to remove fuel and establish control lines. While spotting occurred near Maka Creek earlier in the week, crews worked to contain those areas.
