Gaza Recovery Program aims $1 billion funding, committee ready to implement

Dr. Ali Abdel Hamid Saath, the secretary‑general of the National Committee for Gaza Management, presented a comprehensive Gaza Recovery Program (GRP) at the Palestine Donor Group meeting in Brussels. The conference gathered 65 international delegations under the European Commission’s patronage.

The committee launched the “Gaza Team” initiative, involving more than 12 donor states together with the European Investment Bank and the World Bank, to mobilise roughly US$1 billion. The funds are earmarked for early recovery, rebuilding essential services and supporting the 2.2 million residents of the Gaza Strip. The committee affirmed it is prepared to assume its responsibilities immediately and urged the international community to convert political pledges into concrete financing.
